"Professor I don't feel so good," Hermione said and held her stomach. She and Severus were sitting side by side in the cave . The rain didn't seem like it was going to let it any time soon. Bolts of lightening streaked across the sky at random. The bass like thunder vibrated the arm as an almost continuous rate. It was building up to be one hell of a storm.
"Whats wrong?" Severus asked.
"My stomach and head hurt," Hermione said.
"We haven't eaten for almost 24 hours, All I can say right now is lay down and use as little energy as possible. I can't get you anything to eat until this rain lets up," Severus said. Hermione went to lay across the stone but Severus stopped her.
"Use me as a pillow," He said. Hermione nodded and laid her head in his lap and continued to hold her stomach.
"How come it doesn't bother you?" Hermione asked.
"I've trained my body to live with it. I can go seven days without eating," Severus told her, his gaze never leaving the mouth of the cave. It was getting dark outside.
"You can sleep if you wish," He told her after a long silence. Hermione looked up to him and began to doze in and out before falling asleep all together. Severus laid a hand on her forehead, she was developing a bit of a fever. The cave was cold but there really wasnt anything he could do for her. He just gently ran his fingers through her hair, brushing the brown locks away from her face.
"Sleep sweet, lioness," Severus whispered as the storm raged on.
