No. 15 Dying

A/N: goes with No. 53 Red

Hermione ducked as a misguided curse flew at her. She opened the crawl space door and went inside. She lit her wand and searched as quickly as she could. The death eaters had caught them off guard.

Hermione saw a small bundle in the far corner. She crawled for it, through the dust and cobwebs. She heard a series of pops and froze. She crawled as quietly as she could to the bundle, trying her best not to be heard. Just in case it wasn't the death eaters that just apparated away.

Hermione grabbed the small pouch and looked inside. It was the horocruxe. Hermione crawled back towards the door. She tucked the horocruxe in her bra and near jumped out of her skin when the boards beneath her creaked.

Hermione held her breath and cast a silent silencing spell over the floor before continuing. When she reach the door she eased it open just a sliver. She looked out and saw nothing but deatheaters. She closed the door and leaned against the wall. 'Shit shit shit shit SHIT!!!!' She cursed in her mind.

Hermione tried to calm down but that was suddenly made difficult. A hand punched its way through the old wall, reach over, grabbed her by the neck, and pulled her through the wall. Hermione found her self in the vice grip of Fenir Greyback.

Another two pops were heard followed by,
"Sectumsempra!"

Fenir howled in pain and dropped Hermione. Hermione fell to the ground and was then brought to her feet. She looked at who had her now. It was Professor Snape.
"Right back at you Snape!" A voice shouted and repeated his curse. Severus wrapped Hermione in a hug and turned them around to where he took the whole of the blast.

Severus let her go and turned to fight just as the curse was repeated and hit him again. Severus fell backwards. Hermione caught him and fell with him. He laid over her with his head in her arms over her chest.

Hermione tensed as the Death eater raised his wand again.
"Expeliramus!" Another voice shouted. Hermione looked up to see Albus. She smiled but it faded when she felt something moving across her skin. A silly time to be worrying about spiders. She went to fling it off but felt her arm was wet. She looked in confusion and found she was becoming drenched in blood.
"Professor!?" She said and looked down to him. He was already unconscious.

Hermione held him and touched his face. He was cold. Freezing actually. Hermione could feel the blood seeping through her clothes. He was going to die if something didn't happen fast.

The blood! It was every where and Hermione could smell it. She smell made her stomach churn. Hermione felt an itch on her face and when to scratch it but the crimson liquid halted her. Hermione could help it, she began to cry.
"Professor!" She sobbed.
"Miss Granger?" A voice asked. Hermione looked up to see the death eaters were gone and it was just the three of them.
"Head master h-" Hermione tried but couldn't talk.
"I know," Albus said, putting a hand on Severus and apparated them away.
